It's been a while, but Ive finally found some time to get back on here. We went on a weekend trip to Yorkes (Port Rickaby) and did a couple of days of sandboarding. Not the greatest dunes in the world, and it took a while to get into the swing of things again, but we had a good time. Josh managed no not only jump over a sandboard dug into the sand at the bottom of a run, but also a large black dog who happened to be in his way! Quite a sight. I didn't get to take many pics this time, as I was trying to do some sandboarding myself! Usually I just get stuck taking all the pics, and footage and dont get much of a chance to actually get out there.

26th December 2001

Just been on a great trip down Daly Heads way on the Yorke Pen. Got some great pics, and video footage, just need to find some time to get it all on here. The dunes were long and at times slow, however their were a few nice quick shorter ones. Stayed at the Warooka Pub overnight and had a good time with the locals....except for the bloody RAA bloke who decided he'd rather eat dinner instead of helping us when we were stuck in the middle of no where!

4th December 2001

December 17th has been tentatively penciled in as the start of our next sandboard trip. The location is still up in the air - with Yorkes being the most likely location. If we can get hold of a 4wd then we are thinking about maybe Beachport/Robe area.

21st October 2001

Well summer is on its way for another year, and we're all starting to get the sandboard itch. We haven't been sandboarding for way too long - and if im not careful i'll have to inject some sand into my veins soon! Hope to head down Yorke Peninsula way sometime soon!

3rd January 2001

The Gallery and Big Air pages are now up and running. The dunes, and boards sections should be online by 1st February 2001, so keep checking back!

2nd January 2001

Just returned from New Years down at Goolwa, south of Adelaide. Although I didn't get to do any decent boarding, we found a few average spots after trecking through sandscrub for about 25 mins to find a good fireworks spot. Being 11:30 at night it was a bit dark for sandboarding, especially since no one had any torches! But I'd be interested in going back and checking out some of the dunes again in daylight. To get to the dunes you will need to go past the boat ramps, about half way down you will see a little turn off that has a walking trail heading into some vegetation, and a bird watching sign. Follow the trail by foot for about 10 - 15 mins, and you will get to some dunes, and Encounter Bay. Follow the coast along to find the best dunes. I couldn't get a good look at them due to the darkness, but there might be some decent ones, which should do the job for those who will be in the area but don't have a boat to get to the Coorong.
